Windows Phone 7 Might Be The OS To Code For

Windows Phone 7 is way behind in terms of marketshare, but it is only a few weeks old, compared to two years old for Android and three and a half for iOS (iPhone). One of the ways Microsoft is trying get developers interested is making the platform easier to develop for, something neither iOS nor Android is known for.
WPCentral has an article on a coding event where coders for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 7 were to show up, have no clue what the app was going to be, then get the details and get to work. WP7 coders has a mostly working app at the end of the contest whereas both iOS and Android had only completed the first page of the app.
If nothing else, this will help the WP7 Marketplace fill with apps a bit sooner, and everyone knows app count means a lot when comparing smartphone platforms these days.
