It seems that just because your PC supports hardware virtualization in Virtual PC doesn’t necessarily mean it will support the XP Virtual mode in Windows 7. I just found out my T7400 dual core processor does support it, so am happy about that. Check out Ed Bott’s article along with several dozen Intel processors listed to see if your machine can handle it. Of course, it only matters if you are getting Windows 7 Business or Ultimate.
